Meet Kaycee Dellos – Associate Attorney

The W. James Payne Law Firm is proud to announce that Kaycee Dellos has officially joined the team as an Associate Attorney. Following her recent graduation, Kaycee is poised for a distinguished legal career working alongside Mr. Payne and his esteemed legal team. Kaycee earned her Law Degree from the University of Wyoming in 2025. Having worked with the W. James Payne Law Firm throughout her time in law school, she brings a wealth of hands-on experience to her new role.

Throughout law school, Kaycee distinguished herself through many prestigious extracurricular activities, including membership in Phi Alpha Delta, University of Wyoming Women in Law Club, Wyoming Equal Justice, and a teaching assistantship in trial advocacy, giving her a well-rounded perspective on both client advocacy and complex legal issues. Kaycee also served as a student attorney with the Laramie County Public Defender’s Office in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She took on several cases, and she was hands on in the courtroom during litigation, writing plea bargains, and establishing good relationships with prosecutors and courtroom staff. Kaycee was also a supplemental instructor at the University of Wyoming, from Spring 2019 to Spring 2022.

Kaycee served as a dedicated intern at the W. James Payne Law Firm, where she benefited from extensive, hands-on mentorship. Leveraging his forty years of experience, W. James Payne personally guided her professional development, resulting in the advancement of her exceptional career path and legal knowledge.

Kaycee has always had a deep passion for advocating for her community, even as an intern with the Wyoming Children’s Law Center and as a care professional with the Cathedral Home for Children.

Kaycee is currently taking on new cases, newer to the firm such as DWUI’s, DUI’s, Domestic Violence, Battery Cases, Drug Crimes, and more. Kaycee’s energy and focused talent will be a great addition to the law firm and the legal team. She is hard-working and dedicated.
